I met Craig back in 1993 when we both served on Ben Patterson's Vision Ministries board at Hope College. Being a charismatic brother Craig and I instantly related to one another and became fast friends. His faith was a tremendous example to me and a testament to his love for Jesus and his extraordinary love for people. If I was having a bad day I knew one call to Craig would change it. I can't count the number of times he called me out of the blue and my day was better for having talked to him. There were many times when we would be sitting in a restaurant talking about live and he would ask "what's going on?" and I would tell him all was well. Then he would look me in the eye and ask, "OK, now tell me what's really going on?" Craig was an extraordinary man and a brother I could always count on to tell me the truth. Many times we would be sitting in a restaurant having lunch and he would say, "give me your hands" and I knew what was coming as he would begin to pray. I cherished my time with him on this side and I look forward to my time in eternity with him on the other. I miss you brother and I am a much better man for having known you. Mary thanks for being the wonderful companion and partner in life that you have been to my dear friend. He will be missed by all that knew him. Bill van Steenis, Holland, Michigan
