Curtis E. Norwood's Obituary
On January 2, 2020, Curtis E. Norwood left us, his family, friends and best girl, Abby. He was 66 years old when he moved on to a better place. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Donna and father, Earl Norwood. He is survived by his younger brother, Kent and sister, Lori. Curtis had two boys he called his "adopted sons" Brandon and Jake. Plus, some very special "Norwood cousins". Curtis had an incredible talent combining different foods. He was considered one of the finest untrained chefs’ around. He loved helping the First Baptist Church with any event where food was going to be served. Actually, any event that food was involved you would find him there in the middle of it. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Lincoln Golf Course. He also spent time hunting, fishing, and traveling. Curtis spent time in Alaska and as far south as Tennessee, where his family had roots. This last year, you would see Curtis headed off to work with Abby (a retired Euro-hound sled dog). She was his constant companion. Abby rode beside him from job to job and friend to friend. Services for Curtis will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Muskegon MI. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to go towards kitchen equipment for the First Baptist Church to help continue the good works they do there.
