Curtis L. Twining's Obituary
Curtis Lee Twining, age 80, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Born on May 17, 1944, in Muskegon to Russell and Lucille (Zachariason) Twining, Curtis graduated from Muskegon High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Ferris State University. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Vietnam War. On August 26, 1972, he married Sheila Jandron, and together they spent 51 wonderful years building a loving family. Curtis's legacy of dedication, love, and service will be deeply cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
Curtis had an appreciation for all things mechanical and was especially passionate about cars. He was a craftsman with an extraordinary talent for fixing just about anything that came his way. He worked as a salesman for Twining Wholesale and later started and ran his own business, Twining & Associates. He poured tireless effort into his work and dedicated himself wholeheartedly to supporting his family. His commitment extended beyond his own home; he actively sought out ways to help those around him. He passed on this unwavering dedication to his children and grandchildren, instilling in them the same values he lived by. Above all, he treasured the precious moments spent with his loved ones, watching movies, playing “10,000” and sharing quality time together.
Curtis will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sheila Twining; three sons: Scott (Mandi) Twining, Matthew Twining (Becky Danhof), and Andrew (Hannah) Twining; ten grandchildren: Nicole, Braden, Addison, Cordyn, Haley, Dylan, Luca, Guini, Kloe, and Bob; two great-grandchildren: Elliot and Grace; and two brothers: Dennis (Suzy) Twining; their children James, Nicholas (Katie), Elizabeth (Ty) and Gary Twining. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter in-law, Julia Twining.
