Mrs. Cynthia M. Mosher's Obituary
Mrs. Cynthia M. Mosher, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at home. She was born on April 18, 1931 to Earl and Cynthia (Thomason) Tucker in Nashville, TN. On April 19, 1948 she married Gilbert Mosher in Franklin, KY, and the couple spent 70 wonderful years together. Cynthia worked as a bookkeeper for Superior Oil for 35 years. Cynthia had a knack for striking up conversations with anyone and never knowing a stranger. She was known for her caring heart and contagious smile. Cynthia and Gilbert traveled to Nepal and Africa on mission trips, volunteering their time to help build medical and dental clinics. She liked to crochet, make blankets for her children and grandchildren, and loved to sing and play the piano. Cynthia also enjoyed reading and was a great storyteller thanks to her perfect diction and inflection. A lifelong member of Muskegon Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cynthia was involved in various aspects, including teaching Sabbath School classes and serving as a Greeter for Evangelical Services. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Gilbert; children, Dr. Gilbert (Sandy) Mosher Jr, Carol (Edgel) Phillips, Sylvia “Denise” (David) Cesena, Marjorie (Glen) Fournier and Cynthia (Jerome Jasso) Mosher; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Craig (June) Tucker and Winston (Martha) Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 24 at 12PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 49444, 231-798-1100. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, September 23 from 4:30-7PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Please feel free to sign the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
