Cynthia Jane Sawyer, 61, passed away peacefully at her home on January 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born to Chester and Sally (Collinge) Flejszar and grew up in Muskegon, Michigan. Cynthia graduate Read Obituary
Will never forget wonderful times with Cindy, Chris, Connie, and all the Flejszars at their place in Twin Lake. At family gatherings there, our parents set the stage with good humor, Polka music, and the best Polish food you could imagine. Meanwhile, we cousins roamed the place like friendly ferals - swimming, fishing, canoeing, water skiing, etc. Cindy and her family were so welcoming. To them, fun was time with family. And entertainment was homemade food; dancing, singing and playing together; and homespun conversation. Forever grateful for those wonderful times together!

As our parents have passed, the cousins gradually become a smaller and smaller circle. And although we drift apart, we still remember each other and recall childhood memories of small(ish) family gathering. Good food, good fun and really good people . I'm sure Chet and his mischievous orchestra of proud Polish cousins (Daniel, Leo and Edwin) played an enthusiastic polka welcoming you through heavens gates. My cousin Cindy was awesome! Our families lived near each other in Norton Shores and cottages across from each other at North Lake. Lots of wonderful memories with her and the Flejszar family. Heaven gained an Angel, and we lost an Angel. I’ll miss you cuz and am heartbroken, but I am glad you’re in Heaven with Chet, Sally and Steve. I love you,and will miss seeing you! You were a wonderful lady!

Oh so many memories my friend.....Hanging out at the cottage was always one of the favorites, boy did we have fun. Chet (Cindy's Dad) calling me a boy named Sue and teaching me to polka (even though I am Dutch, LOL) and him playing the accordion and your Mother dancing. We had many many great times and I will treasure them all. My friend since kindergarten through adulthood, thanks for always being such an awesome friend, you will be so missed
