Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Hampton's Obituary
Mrs. Cynthia A. “Cindy” Hampton, age 48, lost her courageous three-year battle with cancer on June 1, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 2-3 PM Tuesday.
Cindy was born on October 21, 1958 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Raymond E. Smith and the late Greta J. Hubbard (Franklin/Smith). She graduated from Mona Shores High School in Norton Shores in 1977. Cindy’s passions were gardening, golf and her dogs. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Cindy, you would have known instantly that you had met the most beautiful, caring, compassionate, giving, and special person. She will continue to care for and be an angel to everyone. Cindy is survived by her husband, Tobin “Lee” Hampton; daughter, Robin Hampton; father, Raymond E. Smith of Waterford; brother, Douglas (Judy) Smith of Lapeer; sister, Kimberly (Joseph) Myers of Ortonville; nephews, James Patton, Daniel (Dana) Jansen and J. Mitchell Myers; nieces, Madison Myers and Katherine Jansen; many cousins, aunts, uncles, mother-in-law, brothers- and sisters-in-law, special nieces, nephews and numerous loving friends.
