Cynthia Marie (Scraver) Mahoney's Obituary
Ms. Cynthia Marie (Scraver) Mahoney, age 56, died Thursday, July 14, 2005 in Memphis, TN, after fighting a courageous battle against a brain tumor. She was born August 10, 1948 in Chicago, IL to William and Laura (Sturgeon) Scraver. She worked as a general manager for hotel properties for over 20 years. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Sunita Newman of Hernando, MS, David (Terri) Kahanuja of Waterford, MI; 2 grandsons, Noah Singh and Ethan David Kahanuja; her mother, Laura Scraver of Muskegon; 1 brother, William Scraver; 3 sisters, Michele (James) Bartley, Rita (Joseph) Gruszecki, Kimberly (David) Vargas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Scraver and her sister, Barbara Hayes. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 12-1 PM Tuesday.
