D.L. Allen Jr.'s Obituary
D.L. Allen Jr., age 89 passed away on May 4, 2024, in Muskegon. He was born on April 25, 1935, to D.L. and Jessie (Harbin) Allen Jr. in Waynesville, NC. D.L. worked as a maintenance supervisor for Cathodic Electrocoating Crown Group prior to his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed everything about firearms and his gun club: building, reloading, range time, shooting, target skills and competition. On April 25, 1990, he married, Denise Honeycutt and she survives him along with his 5 children, Sheryl (Timothy) Banfield, Valerie Flynn, Craig (Susan) Allen, Neil Allen and David Goss; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. D.L. was preceded in death by his parents and son, D.L. “Bud” Allen III. Following his wishes D.L. has been cremated and the family will be holding a private gathering.
