Daesta Ida Craymer's Obituary
Daesta Ida (Scarlett) Craymer, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 4PM. She was born on May 21, 1933 in Fennville, Michigan to Cleon and Thelma (Boyd) Scarlett. Daesta graduated from Montague High School in 1951 and on February 2, 1952, married Donald D. Craymer in Montague. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and soul-winner. She was an active member of the Forest Park Covenant Church in Norton Shores. Survivors include her three children, Dave (Kathleen) Craymer of Montague, Susan (Steven) Yoder of North Muskegon, and Dan (Pam) Craymer of Sparta; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barb Jorgensen of North Muskegon, Pat Heager of San Jose, California, Millie (Jim) Bradfield of Montague; brother, Walter (Marlene) Scarlett of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, her parents and two sisters. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE OPEN HOUSE will take place from 6-8 PM Monday, July 22, 2024 at Forest Park Covenant Church (3815 Henry St., Norton Shores, MI 49441) with a Memorial Service held at 6:30PM. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daesta may be directed to Forest Park Covenant Church or the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
