Dakota R. Goosen's Obituary
Dakota Robert Goosen, age 22, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2020. He was born on October 3, 1998 to Michele Anderson and Greg Goosen in Muskegon. Dakota attended Orchard View High School. He participated in football, wrestling, baseball, and track. Dakota loved to travel, play video games, and practice MMA. He also enjoyed swimming, fishing, and spending time with his family. His favorite color was red. He loved playing football and family softball in the back yard. Dakota will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Michele (Jeremiah) Anderson; father, Greg Goosen; siblings, Jenafer Knapp, Alexis and Miah Anderson, and Ava, Eric and Grant Goosen; and Hilton and Goosen grandparents. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sabrina Goosen, and uncle, KamKong Thammachanh. A Memorial Service will be held at 4PM, Tuesday, January 5 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Pastor Eric Strattan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 3-4PM Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 300 guests are allowed in the church at once. Social distancing is strongly recommended, and face coverings are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions directed to the family to help with funeral expenses is appreciated.
