Dale R. Gauthier's Obituary
Mr. Dale R. Gauthier, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, August 28, 2023, at home. He was born on February 4, 1940, to Walter and Madalyn (Gould) in Muskegon as the youngest of nine siblings. He resided in Muskegon all of his life and retired from HyLift Corporation but had previously worked for SPX Sealed Power and Johnson Products. Dale was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. On September 17, 1977, he married Carol Westgate and she survives him along with his children, Joe (Kathie) Gauthier and Robyn (Larry) Doctor both of Muskegon, Lisa Gauthier (Wayne) Wahala of Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Carolyn (Scott) Berghuis and Robert (Kate) Bullard both of Carmel, Indiana, and Richard Bullard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; along with numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Christianson and Alice Kennedy; and sister-in-law, Janice Gauthier. Dale was preceded in death by his siblings, Norma (Don) Tufts, Larry (Char) Gauthier, Donald (Gloria) Gauthier, Ray Gauthier, Vernon Gauthier; James Gauthier; and brothers-in-law, Jim Kennedy and Ted Christianson. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (110 Dykstra Rd.) with Rev. Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider Muskegon Catholic Central High School.
