Mr. Dale Patrick McClain, age 60, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 31, 2020. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 23, 1960 to Howard and Emilie (Slagter) McClain. Dale had a career in sales, first at Highland Read Obituary
I’m deeply saddened to have just learned of Dale’s passing. I have always been impressed by Dale’s gentle and cheerful spirit, humility, and generosity. I know this means the healing of his pain, and heaven’s gain. But what a loss for us and the entire McClain family. I’ll be praying.
To Tim and Margaret & the entire McClain Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother, Tim. Please know that all the McLeods in SC are thinking of you and your family at this time. I wish I had known Dale. And I wish I could be there, but the miles lie between. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Please keep those wonderful memories of Dale close to your heart.

I worked for Dale many years ago and found him to be the epitome of a "people person". He could take a group of dissimilar personalities and create a successful team bringing out the best in each person and it wasn't a trick or something he read in a book about how to manage people. It was something he had within himself. It was as much a part of him as his smile.
There's a big hole now that the universe has to fill.
Connie and I want to send our deepest condolences to Dale's family and friends. I hadn't seen "Clerk" in many years, but I will always cherish the time I knew him. He was such a great guy and a terrific manager to work for. During the time that he, Scott Weverstad, and I managed the new 28th St store were my favorite. He will be missed by anyone that knew him.
I'm sorry to hear of Dale's passing, my heartfelt condolences to the entire family! I know he will be missed!
Dale was my boss way back in the Highland Appliance days, that has been a couple decades now but I will always remember Dale. He was always kind, understanding, funny and easy going. The entire team worked long hours so we formed a work family, we knew most of the spouses and spent time together outside of work also.
Some of us still keep in touch and share stories.
Dale left a lasting impression on all that knew him.
I first met Dale in Boy Scouts and attended 6th grade all the way through high school graduating with him. I also knew his dad and brother from scouting. Many great memories of scouting camp outs and activities. Thoughts, prayers and condolences to his family and friends.

Incredibly saddened to learn of Dale's passing. I hadn't seen Dale for many years now, but we enjoyed millions of laughs and great times, way back in the day at Highland Appliance, as well as in off work time. "Clerk", as he was called by many back then, he even had it on his name badge. I'll always remember Clerk as a Great friend, very kind, and humorous, a Great guy! You will certainly be missed. My deepest condolences are with his family and all that knew Dale.
