Dale F. Sherburn's Obituary
Dale F. Sherburn, age 95, passed away on February 27, 2019. He was born on April 11, 1923 to Floyd and Lucille (Sibley) Sherburn in Muskegon, MI. Dale served his country in the US Army during World War II. Dale was a member of Laketon Bethel Church and was active on the consistory board both as Elder and Deacon and also with the food truck ministry. In 1968, he started Sherburn Auto Repair and worked there with his son, Ken until 1988 when he retired. Dale played the harmonica, loved music, art and watercolor painting. On June 13, 1943, he married Sylvia Epplett and she preceded him in death in 2009. SURVIVORS include Ken Sherburn, Marjorie (Dale) Brink, Ilene Sherburn, Brenda (David) Laban and Roger (Janene Poe) Sherburn; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Frank and Marshall Sherburn and daughter-in-law, Joyce Sherburn. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM, March 6, 2019 at Laketon Bethel Church (1568 W. Giles Rd.) with Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Laketon Bethel Church – food truck fund.
