Mr. Dale W. Zufelt's Obituary
Mr. Dale W. Zufelt walked into heaven on the evening of March 10, 2012 free of his battle with Alzheimers. Mr. Zufelt was born June 29, 1931 to Edward and Amy (Hibbs) Zufelt and in 80 years on earth, Dale lived, laughed, and loved life. Dale graduated from Muskegon Hts. High School, worked 35 years at Consumers Power, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of New Heart Community Church. In his life he enjoyed square dancing with his wife, bowling, golfing, working in the yard, growing tomatoes, walking, calligraphy, and telling a story, but mostly Dale enjoyed time with his family. On October 17, 1953 he married Jean V. Parsons, and she survived him along with two children, Geraldine Block and Frank Beebe; special grandchildren, Glenn (Lynda) Jackomino, Tina Swanstrom, Audrey (Bob) Partak, and Mark Young; 7 additional grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Bob (Nada) Zufelt; 1 sister, Irene (Ted) Grant. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Darwin Zufelt and Kenneth Hibbs. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15, at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., The Lee Chapel,6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Ron Amos officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION at the funeral home will be 1 hour prior to the service.
