Dale C. Summerville's Obituary
Mr. Dale C. Summerville, age 81, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010. He was born on October 17, 1928 to Audley and Edna (Dunn) Summerville in Kalamazoo, MI. Mr. Summerville was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he worked at Teledyne Continental Motors. On September 10, 1949, he married Betty Hopkins in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 4 children, James Summerville of Spring Lake, Jeani Davis of Muskegon, Kevin (Linda) Summerville of Fox River Grove, IL, and Kelly (Debra) Summerville of Bettendorf, IA; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Jean Brink of Kalamazoo. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Mary Reigler officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
