Dana Michele Buckley's Obituary
On Monday, February 25, 2019, Dana Michele Buckley, loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 42 in Phoenix, AZ. Dana was born on August 5, 1976 and is the daughter of Daniel and Michele (Adamczewski) Buckley. Dana was raised in Muskegon, MI, educated within the Mona Shores school system where she played tennis and graduated from Grand Valley State University. The gravitational pull of warm desert air was too strong to resist, so she spent much of her adulthood in Phoenix working within the transportation and logistics industry for over 20 years. Dana had a lifelong passion for dogs, art and painting, a treasured skill she learned as a child from her maternal grandfather. She shared her love of art by creating coloring sheets for her nephew and niece, who loved their pen-pal. Dana had a gift of a quick comedic wit and was a voracious bookworm, which helped form an encyclopedic mind that would have been the envy of Jeopardy champions (one of her favorite shows). She was also an avid music lover, with a cherished assortment of records that only rivaled her collection of superhero memorabilia – her favorite was Wonder Woman. Dana is survived by her parents, brother Ryan (Jennifer) Buckley of Chicago, nephew Brayden, nieces Ella and a baby girl due in April, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dana was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her cousin (Kerry Ellis), an aunt and uncle (Michael and Patricia Vezzetti), and another aunt (Sue Buckley). THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 2929 McCracken, Norton Shores with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to No More Sidelines or Pound Buddies. Please share a memory with the family online at www.sytsemafh.com.
