Dana Mary Oberlin's Obituary
Dana Mary Oberlin, age 68, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at a local care facility, she was born September 6, 1946, in Grand Haven to Heinrich “Harry” Frederick and Gladene Eunice (Manwarring) Gruen, and married Daniel Oberlin on March 17, 1988 in Grand Rapids.
Dana worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at area hospitals. She loved knitting, crocheting, and going to their property in northern Michigan, and most of all she loved her grandchildren.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Daniel Oberlin of Grand Haven; two daughters, Marta Correll-Riggin of Broken Arrow, OK. and Amanda Correll-Buelow of Grand Haven; two grandchildren, Madison Juguilon and Allyssa Buelow; her sister, Karen (Martin) Roubal of Livermore, CO; her father-in-law, George Oberlin of Grand Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Heinrich “Harry” and Gladene Gruen; brothers, Harry Michael Gruen and Timothy Daniel Gruen.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Dieter Haupt officiating.
