Daniel Bates' Obituary
Daniel Bates, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. He was born on May 30, 1956 in Colorado Springs, CO and was adopted to Versle and Floella (Glore) Bates. On December 2, 1983 he married the love of his life, the former Joan McDonald, and together they spent 36 happy years together. Daniel worked for many years at Nugent Sand Company in Muskegon.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, and enjoyed time at the casino.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Joan Bates; daughter, Jodi Skinner, sons, Christopher, Nathan (Kaitlin), Matthew, Jason (Jamie), William, and Andrew. Also survived by mother, Floella, brother Jim (Nita) and several nieces, nephews, aunts , uncles, cousins, grandchildren, and in-laws. A MEMORIAL MASS will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church (3252 Apple Ave.). Arrangements entrusted to Sytsema Cremation Services, 773 E.
