Mr. Daniel R. Burling's Obituary
Mr. Daniel R. Burling, age 78, passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2015. Dan was born on November 23, 1936 to John and Margret Burling. Dan obtained his Master’s Degree and worked as an Engineer at S.D. Warren until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed traveling, sports, being with his family and friends and good conversation. He was a funny, kind-hearted, one of a kind man. Dan will be deeply missed. He is survived by his children, Michael (Mary Jane) Burling, David (Libby) Burling, and Robin (Kevin) Dean; 5 grandchildren; and sister Merry (William) Wallace. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra; second wife Carol; his parents; sister, Barbara Kuehl; and brother-in-law Richard Kuehl. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Carol and Dan will be held on Saturday September 12, 2015 at 1:00PM at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Red Cross. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.
