Daniel C. Cooper's Obituary
Daniel C. Cooper, age 78 passed away after a long battle on Sunday, August 28th, 2022. He was born on May 16th, 1944 to Robert and Rosemary (Neilsen) Cooper in Muskegon.
On July 21, 2000, he married Dawn (Lucksinger) Brown in Muskegon. She survives him along with his children; Stacy (Mark) Luckey, Stephanie (Bill) Pals, and Steven Cooper; bonus children Emily (Eddie) Ward and Cameron (Andrea) Brown; step-child Erik Welch, 13 wonderful grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Rowe and Rosemary Witham.
Dan was a successful self-made man opening Dan Cooper Auto Sales with his business partner, Ken Norwood in 1977. “Muskegon’s Most Recommended Car Dealer”
Dan’s enthusiasm for life was endless, some of his hobbies were fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, sports, and collecting classic cars. He was a member of many organizations and clubs in the area, some including Mona Lake Boat Club, Muskegon Eagles, Pulaski Lodge and Polish Union. He loved his family, friends and always had a joke to tell. He loved to make people smile.
A Celebration of Dan’s life will be held Sunday September 25th at Mona Lake Boat Club (372 Randall Rd. Muskegon, MI 49441) from 1:00 to 4:00PM for a time of sharing memories.
