Daniel Richard Coulier's Obituary
Daniel Richard Coulier, age 53, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at home after a battle with cancer. He was born September 1, 1967, in Muskegon, to Richard Sidney and Judith Marie (Birkman) Coulier. He married Diana Kay “Diane” Pelfresne on April 30, 2016, at the Front Porch Church in Muskegon.
Dan graduated from Spring Lake High School and worked at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven as director of maintenance. He was a member of All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake. Dan was a very talented carpenter who loved woodworking, fixing cars, and hiking. Most of all he was an amazing husband and father who loved spending time with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate, Diane Coulier; children: Dakota (Trent) Kujawa, Dahlia (Kedrick) Vanvelzen, Danielle Coulier, Dayton Coulier, Dalainy Coulier, Branden (Brett) Addicott, Haley Addicott, and Ryan Addicott; two grandchildren, Forest and Halia; his mother, Judy Coulier; mother-in-law, Maxine (Gerald) Heyd; three brothers: Brian (Beth) Coulier, Dennis (Dionna) Coulier and Gary (Paula) Coulier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sidney Coulier and father-in-law, James Pelfresne.
A memorial service for Dan will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, (this is the date that Dan and Diane first went out) at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Dr. Troy Hauser Brydon, Rev. Kristine Aragon Bruce and Rev. Peter Yoshonis officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church.
