Daniel Dale DeLora's Obituary
Mr. Daniel Dale DeLora, age 77, passed away at his home on Monday, October 28, 2024. Dan was born in Muskegon on March 5, 1947 to Kenneth and Barbara (Oosting) DeLora. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War. Dan was employed by Automatic Spring and Howmet prior to his retirement. He was an active member of the VFW Post #3195 where he served as past post president. Dan enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family cabin in Alba, Michigan and enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his Mom. He was a fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Redwings. Dan enjoyed taking rides which often ended up at the Amish store. He will be remembered as a man of few words, yet he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. Dan is survived by his daughters, Donna (Scott) Goetz and Michelle DeLora; two grandchildren, Courtney Goetz and Dylan Goetz; his mother, Barbara DeLora; brothers, Tom (Deb) DeLora and Chuck (Ella) DeLora; and his sister, Linda (Lonn) Ferrier. He was preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth DeLora. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held for Dan.
