Daniel H. Hilton's Obituary
Dan’s coronation day was January 4, 2017. We have tears with hope. He leaves behind his wife, Charleen; his children, Danny (Sue) Hilton, Wesley (Danya) Hilton, Terese (Tim) Oudemolen, Bryan Hilton, and Deana Hanes; twenty-one grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard and Esther (Lewis) Hilton; brothers, Edward and Joel Hilton. Living are his brother, Emmanuel “Slim” (Ada) Hilton; sister, Marjorie Ray; and sister-in-law, Caroline Hilton. Dan retired from Shaw Walker/Knoll where he was known as Danny for 38 years. He was a certified horologist and a “man of many talents-the master of none”. He liked yard saleing, and flee marketing; which was more a business than a hobby. Dan also enjoyed gardening, taking pictures and feeding stray cats. Most of all he loved having family get-togethers. He became a born again Christian in 1978 with the help of Mel and Joyce Black and has attended Oakcrest Church of God since 2001. He liked sharing with others how God took away his craving for cigarettes and alcohol. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2017 at Oakcrest Church of God, 1540 Leonard Avenue with Pastor Rick Rogers officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SBN Jimmy Swaggert Ministries for Bibles for China.
