Daniel A. Schaub's Obituary
Daniel Albin Schaub, age 81, devoted family man and loving husband, passed away Sunday evening, January 24, 2016. He was born August 28, 1934 in Ypsilanti, MI to Leo and Genevieve (Denoyer) Schaub. On May 6, 1961 he married the former Beverly J. Lamie in Lake Leelanau, MI. Mr. Schaub worked as a drill press operator at Brunswick Corporation for 41 years before retiring in 1997. Dan was a very active and faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was a member of the Polish Union, enjoyed playing bingo, cribbage, euchre, and also played the accordion. Dan will be greatly missed by his wife, Beverly; 4 daughters: Anna (Tom) Swain of Anderson, IN, Debbie (Mark) McCollum of Tulsa, OK, Sharon Alexander of Three Rivers, MI, Sally (Ted) Sander of Wyoming, MI; former son-in-law, Larry Alexander; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson on the way; 3 brothers: Lonnie Schaub, Michael (Dorothy) Schaub, Melvin (Mary) Schaub; 3 sisters: Sister Geneva Marie Schaub, Doreen (Bob) Stone, Geneva (Jerry) Lamie; 2 sisters-in-law: Erika Schaub and Fran Schaub; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Jermain, Urban, Bennett, and Earl Schaub; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Schaub. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM Friday, January 29, 2016 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St., Muskegon, MI 49441. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, January 28, 2016 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with the Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM. There will also be visitation at church one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
