Mr. Daniel W. Schorejs' Obituary
Daniel W. Schorejs, age 69, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. He was born on November 8, 1946 to Joseph and Shirley (Young) Schorejs in Grand Haven. Daniel was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles and was active with the Patriot Guard Riders. He attended Kainay Community Church. Dan was a friend to all and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids grow. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Schorejs, Danielle (Dennis) Gerling, Nichole Schorejs; grandchildren, Krystle, Zachary, Devin, Brooke, Noah, Lillian; four great granddaughters; brother, Robert (Karen) Schorejs; close friends, Cheryle Page and Jeff (Flo) Glass; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Breiana. Donations in Dan’s name can be made to West Michigan Veterans, Inc. A Celebration of Life for Dan Schorejs will be held from 2–6pm on Saturday, September 17 at the Fruitport Eagles, 3354 S. Dangl Road, Muskegon, MI 49444. Dan didn't want a funeral...he wanted a party, so we'll honor his memory by doing two things that he loved to do—eat and talk. Join us and share your Dan stories—we're sure everyone has many! Sandwiches and dessert will be provided; bring a dish to pass if you'd like. Cash bar. Military honors led by the Muskegon County VFW Council will be held at 3pm.
