Danny M. "Dan" Adams' Obituary
Danny M. “Dan” Adams, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 13, 2023, at home. He was born on January 21, 1954, to John and Mildred (Sizemore) Adams in Dayton, Ohio.
Dan was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a talented barber and made his craft his career. Dan not only had a passion for cutting hair, he also won numerous awards in hair competitions. He took his dreams and opened his own shop, called Steelhorse Barbershop, in Fruitport, where he has been for the last five years.
Dan was a faithful servant of the Lord and a longtime member of Living Life Church. There he met his wife, Lori Pavlak (Bouschard), and they married on December 20, 2021. Together they enjoyed their church family, and Dan loved participating in the men’s group. He was known to be a motorcycle fanatic and enjoyed traveling all around the U.S. riding on some of the most thrill-seeking roads. Dan sang and played his acoustic guitar for years in numerous venues in Holland, Michigan and was a self-proclaimed “balladeer” with a following of fans whenever he performed!
Dan will be remembered as a generous and kind-hearted man. He will be missed greatly by the many people who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Lori Adams; children, Jaden Adams and John Adams; stepchildren, Ananda Scott and Ira Woyar; five beloved grandchildren including Amory; sister, Pamela (Mike) Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Penny Adams; and brother, Sam “Skip” Adams.
A visitation with the family will be held from 2-3:00 PM and celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Memorial contributions in Dan’s honor can be directed to his family to help with his funeral services.
