Danny L. Miller's Obituary
Mr. Danny L. Miller, age 64, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. He was born June 23, 1950 in Grand Haven to John and Frieda (Johnson) Miller. On January 29, 1971, he married the former Jane VanZantwick in Spring Lake.
Dan was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post #28. He looked forward to meeting his friends at the Spring Lake Aquatic Center for a game of Pickleball, playing a round of golf, watching MSU sports and the Red Wings. Dan also loved spending time on his boat and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his dogs, Moose and Morgan.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; three children: Jenn (Mark) Colvin of Spring Lake, Amanda (Frank) Dobroc of Grand Haven and Justin (Jessica) Miller of Dayton, OH; eight grandchildren: Sam, Zak, and Sarah Colvin, Isabelle and Savannah Dobroc, and Kailyn, Garrett and Eliana Miller. He is also survived by two brothers, Jack (Jan) Miller and Dave (Alanna) Miller; brother-in-law, Dale (Susan) VanZantwick; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Dan will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. John Brown officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, March 27 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Dan may be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Autism Support of West Shore.
