Darlene M. Hronek's Obituary
Darlene M. Hronek, age 83, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022. Darlene was born at home, June 16, 1938 in the Village of Ferry, MI to Forest and Alice (Gillan) Ramey. She was a 1956 graduate of Shelby High School. On January 27, 1962, she married Thomas G. Hronek in Muskegon. Darlene was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church and the Fruitport Eagles. In 1987, she retired from Comerica Bank, and in 2007, she retired from the Community Schools Credit Union. She was an avid NASCAR and Oakridge Football fan and loved to watch her grandchildren play their sports. Darlene is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas; 2 sons, Todd Hronek, David Hronek; 1 daughter-in-law, Julie Hronek; 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Zach) Webb, Rebecca Hronek, Madison Hronek, Luke Hronek, Blake Hronek; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Hronek; her daughter-in-law, Rose Lynn; her parents; 1 sister, Meldora (Larry) Poulson; and 2 brothers, Al (Lila) Ramey and Clee (Gladys) Ramey. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 7, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. Visitation will take place 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery.
