Darlene Sue Mercer's Obituary
MRS. DARLENE "SUE" MERCER, 87, passed away peacefully at home in Twin Lake on February 15, 2024. She was born in Kalkaska on July 3, 1936, to John and Leonette Ebert. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She loved the outdoors - gardening, hunting and fishing and woodworking and making beautiful crafts in their workshop. On May 6, 1988, she married Donald D. Mercer, and he survives her, along with her three daughters: Terri Bartels, Debbie and Nancy White and Don's children, Dennis (Laura) Mercer, Deborah (John) Schrier, Gregory Mercer, Kimberly (Mike) Plunkett and Brian Mercer, one sister Mary (Larry) Mahn, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Rudy Bartels and nephew Randy Mahn. In keeping with Sue's wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Michigan for their care and support in Sue's final days. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E.
