Mrs. Darlene M. Singleton's Obituary
Mrs. Darlene M. Singleton, age 82, passed into her Lords loving arms Thursday morning, April 5, 2012 to join her husband. He waited for her at the gate, they joined hands and walked into the light. She was born June 25, 1929 in Dighton, MI to Vern and Vera (Essex) Fralick. She graduated M.H.S. in 1947 and worked for Dr. Holly as an x-ray technician. As a teenager she sang on the radio for Youth for Christ. On October 14, 1950 she married David E. Singleton and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2011. She is survived by 5 children, Diane (Kevin) Smith, Bob (Jane), Steve (Linda), Jim (Sharon), Bruce (Colleen) Singleton; 9 grandchildren, Rodney and Allison Smith, Scot (Carmen), Michael (Michelle), Bill (Anna), and David Singleton, Shannon Franks, Sean and Chase Raymond; and 8 great-grandchildren. She loved to travel and work in her flower gardens. She loved her Lord and her church, and her family was her foundation. She was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and past member of Green Ridge Christian Reformed Church. She taught Sunday School and volunteered for many things including the Rescue Mission. She is also survived by one sister, Delores (Mike) Fox of Muskegon, one brother, Darrell Fralick of Puyallup, WA. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Fralick, 2 brothers, Richard and Wendell Fralick, and her parents. Special thanks to Colleen Mills for all her loving care she provided for our mom and dad in their last years. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with the Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or the Laketon Bethel Reformed Church Building Fund will be appreciated.
