Darold "Robby" Robinson's Obituary
Mr. Darold C. “Robby” Robinson, age 88, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Spring Lake, Michigan. He was born in Sparta, Michigan on July 5, 1929 to Quincy and Cleota (Eaton) Robinson. Robby was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He had been employed by Standard Oil prior to his retirement. Robby enjoyed chatting with everyone, particularly if he could tease them and get a laugh. He and Milly loved to garden together. His passion was bike riding to collect returnable cans. On September 25, 1954, he married the former Mildred C. Veverica and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2016. He is survived by 3 children, Candace (Guy) Hollister, Thomas (Patty) Robinson and Stacey Cornell; 5 grandchildren, Sarah (Aaron), Michelle, Blake, Lauren and Trip; and one brother, Clayton Robinson. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Robby will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Friday. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions in memory of Robby can be directed to Pioneer Resources or Hospice of North Ottawa.
