Dear Jean/family and Carol,
We are so saddened to hear of your great loss, but Heaven's gain. Darrel's sudden illness and leaving this world so quickly leaves us in shock, and only God knows and certainly spared him of so much pain. Of that, we're thankful. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to you, and we pray His comfort and peace will surround all of you.
So thankful for our family get-together last Sept. while we visited MI --- it was so good to see you and have a wonderful visit after many years.
With our love,
Jim & Kay (Cramblet) Franks, Knoxville, TN
Darrel was a great neighbor who was concerned about our Emerald Lake community and always there for a helping hand . He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Darrel was a good man, kind, helpful, unselfish, industrious, always smiling. He loved the Lord, honesty and the Christian principles. He hated pride, greed, disrespect. He knew when to talk, and when to be silent. Some people like to give discourses, Darrel’s life WAS a discourse. Even though he is gone, he will teach lessons for many more years.
We lost a very good friend, a Brother in the Lord, an example ! We shall miss him a lot. Jean, thank you for letting us share so much time with such a good character. We love you.

Jean,
Kathy and I were so surprised to hear about your loss. We remember many days working along side of Darrel and you at Fairway Farms. We know that he will be greatly missed by you and your family and all of us that knew him. We are very sorry, but we will not be able to attend his funeral, because we will be out of town. Our thoughts and prayers go with you at this difficult time.
Yours In Christ,
Mike & Kathy Lewis
