Darreld L. Cole Sr.'s Obituary
Darreld L. Cole, Sr., age 82, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020. He was born November 20, 1937 in Ravenna, MI to Lawrence and Christine (Trenz) Cole. Darreld worked for Brunswick Corp. for 44 years prior to his retirement in 2000. On September 6, 1957, he married the former Naomi R. Babcock and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2016. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, and camping, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Darreld is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Cole; son, Darreld L. Cole, Jr.; 5 grandchildren: Andrew (Bethany) Mieczkowski, Michael (Catie) Mieczkowski, Patrick (Kristina) Mieczkowski, Gary (Brooke) Cole, Theresa Cole; 6 great-grandchildren: Zavaan, Tyler, Jay, Malachi, Mackenzie, and Asher; brother, Lawrence E. (Paula) Cole, Jr.; sister, Darlene M. Schwiderson; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. (Vouchney) Cole; brothers: Gerald and James Cole. A graveside service for Darreld will be held later in Norton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
