Darwin "Clyde" L Ely's Obituary
Darwin "Clyde" LaVerne Ely age 78, of Ravenna, MI died Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Riverside Nursing & Rehab in Grand Haven.
Darwin was born on September 27, 1943 in Ravenna, MI to the late Patsy and Nina (Garvey) Ely. Darwin was a lumberjack and gunsmith for many years and enjoyed spending time at the flea market/auction.
Darwin is survived by his two daughters, Liz (Bob) Dormer of Charlotte, MI and Kaytie (Ron) Drake of Ravenna. Two grandchildren, Nina and Bobby Dormer. Several nieces and nephews of "Uncle Punk" also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (LaVerne, Robert and Darrell Ely) and one sister (Shirley Pittman). In addition to his siblings, he is also preceded in death by his Aunt Juanita Woolf, sister in-law, Marvel Ely and nephew, Douglas Ely.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:30 am at the Ravenna Township Cemetery in Ravenna.
