Mr. Daryl J. Brott Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Daryl J. Brott, Sr., age 79, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Muskegon. He was born January 1, 1939 to Fred and Mildred (Gustafson) Brott, Jr. in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Brott worked at Sealed Power for 38 years, before retiring. He loved traveling, was an avid sports fan of most Michigan teams, and enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s events. On July 18, 1959 he married Norma L. Clapp, and she survives him along with 3 children: Diana (David) Bennett, Vicki McFarland, Daryl J. Brott, Jr.; 7 grandchildren: Steve, Scott (Michael), and Jeremy Bennett, Mark Jr. and Stephanie McFarland, Coleman and Kaley Brott; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Delores Perry. Mr. Brott was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Sarah Bennett; his parents; 4 brothers: Bob, Don, Dick and Fred Brott; 3 sisters: Carol Wilson, Darlene Bishop and Arlene Perry. The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 21, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, November 20, from 6-8 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. You may visit the familiy’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
