Daughn M. Butler's Obituary
Mrs. Daughn M. Butler, 83, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born June 28, 1939, to John and Emma (Ade) Gee in Muskegon, and lived in several different areas before settling back in Muskegon. Daughn loved to cook and had been employed by different restaurants over the years. She was a member of Port City Church. On July 3, 1982, she married Eugene C. Butler, and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2005. She is survived by four children: Pamala (Paul) Thoune, Michael (Lea) Taylor, Tina Taylor, Eric (Luciana) Taylor; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one sister: Esther (Charles “Bill”) McIlrath. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law David Abercrombie, her first husband William Taylor Jr., grandson Orion Taylor, and her best friend Arlene Seidl. A service to remember and celebrate Daughn’s life will be held Tuesday, April 11, at 11:00 AM at Port City Church, 3387 Heights Ravenna Rd. There will be no visitation. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Butler may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
