David W. Aldrich's Obituary
David W. Aldrich, age 70, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2019. He was born on February 10, 1948, to Woodrow and Elsie (Armitage) Aldrich in Maple Rapids, MI. David was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served two tours during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love of all things in nature. You could always find David out on the water fishing or searching for arrowheads and other treasures on the shoreline. David loved crafting, he was an excellent woodworker and jewelry maker. He never met a stranger and was quick to start up a friendly conversation that could spin into a 30-minute talk on seemingly any topic. Above all the blessings in his life he was most thankful for his loving family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Bonnie Aldrich; his sons, Arend (Lindsey) Aldrich, Nicholas (Katie) Aldrich, Matthew (Shelly) Aldrich, Christopher (Kana) Aldrich; step-children, Gabe (Cecelia) Gordon, Sara (John) Newburgh; grandchildren, Lochlan, Peyton, Christopher, Madelyn, Liam, Luna, Christian, Soli, Courtney, Cody, Calvin, Avaree, Nathan; great-grandchildren, Graham and Everett; nephew, David Aldrich and his children, Russel and Joshua.
