David Wayne Bell Jr.'s Obituary
David Wayne Bell, Jr., age 44, passed away at Mercy Hospital Wednesday, November 11, 2020, after a brief battle with COVID-19. David was born on October 1, 1976 in Muskegon to David and Patricia (Howard) Bell. He graduated from Orchard View High School, and attended Albion College doing what he loved, playing football. David also loved hunting and fishing, even doing so after he was wheelchair bound due to his diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at age 21. David was a kind and caring person, most would describe him as a ‘Gentle Giant’. He would do anything for anyone, and brought a smile to everyone who met him. He will be missed by all.
David married the former Kerry Gilchrist on January 10, 2003 and she survives him along with their children, Alexander and Malaina Bell, of Whitehall; and son, Isaiah Bell. Also surviving are his mother, Patricia Howard of Muskegon; sister, Keturah Bell of Kentwood, nephew, Elijah Bell; mother in law, Chris Gilchrist, sister in law, Staci Gilchrist, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
David was preceded in death by his daughter, Jocelyn Bell, which broke his heart. His father, David Bell, Sr.; grandparents; and father in law, Gary Gilchrist. There will be no services, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Private family burial will take place at Fruitland Township Cemetery.
