David Thomas Bowen's Obituary
Mr. David Thomas Bowen, age 80, formerly of Muskegon, passed away in Whitehall, Michigan on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 27, 1944 to George and Clara (VanOort) Bowen. David was employed by Lift Tech, and previously at American Coil Spring, prior to his retirement. He attended St. Thomas Catholic Church. David enjoyed singing and had been an Elvis impersonator for several years. He enjoyed trips to the casino and to LasVegas with his special friend, Grace. David was an avid lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He is survived by four children, Brian (Michelle) Bowen, Ted (Kristi) Bowen, Kurt (Tracey) Bowen, and Holly (Nick) Willer; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his special friend, Grace Gonyon; four brothers, James (Latricia) Bowen, Walt (Nancy) Bowen, Tom (Wendy) Bowen, and Dan (Deb) Bowen; three sisters, Virginia Magnason, Clara Sue (Bill) Knollinger, and Rosemary (Raymond) Reinhold. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, George Bowen, Robert Bowen, Ronald Bowen, and Richard Bowen. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at St. Thomas Catholic Church (3252 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) with Fr. Douglas A. Braun presiding.
