David W. Carr's Obituary
David W. Carr, age 75, passed away at home on February 21, 2025. He was born on February 10, 1950, to Leonard and Louise (Barker) Carr in West Virginia. Dave owned and operated Dave’s Drywall until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, bowling, playing guitar, playing cards, golfing, horse racing, listening to oldies music, watching western movies, and spending time with his family. On June 6, 1970, he married Kathryn Anne Renwick, who survives him along with their two daughters, Kimberly Anne (Brian Schweikert) Carr and Kelly Lynne (Chris DeCan) Cioni; and four grandchildren: Maxwell David Carr Schweikert, David Douglas Carr, Juliana Kathryn Jimenez, and Jacob Stephen Garley. He is also survived by his siblings, Eugene Carr and Donna Bell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Judy Holder, Darlene Brandt, and Elaine Carr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 3 PM to 5 PM, with a special speaking time planned for 4:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI.
