David E. Colpetzer's Obituary
Mr. David E. Colpetzer, 60, passed away Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 25, 1952 in Indiana to Frederick and Patricia (Minnear) Colpetzer, and grew up in Chicago and eventually near Ravenna..He served his country for eight years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. When he was 12, David lived down the road outside Ravenna from Doreen Ann Ryder, and he married her June 26, 1971 in Conklin. He was a member of Norton Shores Gospel Tabernacle, and had been last employed as an inspectorat Howmet until being forced by illness to retire. Prior to that he had spent many years at Structural Concepts. His SURVIVORS include his wife, Doreen; his children: Adam (Shanna) Colpetzer of FL, Sarah (AJ) Summerfield and Isaac (Kristianna "Kris") Colpetzer both of Muskegon; three grandchildren: Abigail, Kaitlynn and Izaiah (Dave called him “Z”); his mother, Patricia Aguirre of WA; and a niece, Melanie Howard and nephew, Michael Kamps. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick; a sister, Terri Lang; and two grandchildren, Isabella and Zachary. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Norton Shores Gospel Tabernacle, 1253 E. Hile Rd., with Pastor Kevin McCormick officiating. Those attending the service may visit with the family following the service during a luncheon at the church MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the family to help with expenses would be appreciated.
