Mr. David M. Compton's Obituary
Mr. David M. Compton, age 69, passed away Saturday morning, December 13, 2014. He was born June 16, 1945 in Highland, IL to Webster and Irma (Grimmer) Compton. David was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Paralyzed Veteran Association. He enjoyed traveling, computers, refinishing furniture, music and photography, but most of all, spending time with his family. On August 29, 1970 he married the former Linda L. Dykstra in Muskegon and she survives him along with his brother, Timothy (Sheila) Compton of Muskegon; 3 sisters: Christine (Scott) McAuley of Arizona, Stephanie (Michael) Kotko, Teresa Compton both of South Carolina; and 22 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Martinez. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for David will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with the Rev. Fr. Norman Droski presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
