David DeMarse's Obituary
Mr. David DeMarse, age 65, of Grand Haven, MI, and Fort Myers, FL, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 16, 2020 in Florida. He was born July 4, 1955 in Muskegon to Robert and Irene (Strahsburg) DeMarse.
Dave spent the majority of his career in the office furniture industry. He loved golfing, listening to music, hockey, and playing his guitar. He always preferred a nice swimming pool to the lake, but spent many wonderful summers with his family on the beaches of Lake Michigan. Dave was a prolific mix CD creator, so if you knew him for any amount of time there’s a good chance you’ve got a smooth jazz compilation lying around. Give it a listen in his memory.
He is survived by his four children: Daniel DeMarse of Chicago, Eric (Ryna) DeMarse of Seattle, Allison (Joel) Roon of Spring Lake, and David DeMarse, Jr. of Seattle; three granddaughters: Emerson and Hazel Roon, and Juniper DeMarse; brothers: Michael DeMarse, Bill (Lynne) DeMarse, and Robert DeMarse, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family celebration of David’s life will take place at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of David may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please sign the family’s online guestbook and view a recording of the service at http://www.sytsemafh.com.
