David E. Geiger's Obituary
Mr. David E. Geiger, at 75, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 1, 2014, at the Poppen Residence following a brief illness. He was born November 23, 1938 in Muskegon to Esten and Tressie (Shire) Geiger; and had been a life resident of the area. Dave was a veteran of the USAF. He had been employed as a Police Officer for the City of Muskegon for 32 years, serving many of those years as its K-9 Officer. Following retirement he worked 17 years as a deliveryman for CarQuest. He was a member of F.O.P. Lodge #99. On June 2, 1961 he married the former Pat Postema and she survives him along with their 3 children, Julie (Chris) Parisian, Jeff Geiger and Jodi Geiger, all of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Jordan and Kaylee Parisian, Derek and Jared Geiger . He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100) with Pastor Casey Arnouts officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
