David A. Gelderloos' Obituary
David A. Gelderloos, age 64, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was born on August 19, 1958 in Muskegon to Francis and Virginia (Geeting) Gelderloos, and resided in the area his entire life. David worked as a Corrections Officer for the State of Michigan for 26 years before retiring in 2014. He also owned and operated with his family Aloha Hawaiian Shave Ice that participated in many events around the area. David loved his family and his dog “Rex”. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow mobile racing, along with fast and shiny cars. He belonged to the BEVRA Vintage Snowmobile Racing Club. You could also find him fixing up his yard and making people laugh whenever possible. He will be dearly missed by many, especially his loving family. On July 10, 2002 he married the former Shuling Liao, and she survives him along with four children, Lindsey Gelderloos, Justin (Courtney) Gelderloos, Cindy (Andrew) Lee, and Carlie Gelderloos; four grandchildren Trinity, Brenna, Jayla, and Braya; four brothers Dick, Bob, Brian, and Tim; and one sister, DeLaine. David was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Virginia; son, Jeffrey Gelderloos; brothers, Nick and Mark Gelderloos; and sisters, Jackie and Kathy.
