Mr. David L. Grimard's Obituary
Mr. David L. Grimard, age 86, passed away Wednesday morning, January 21, 2015 at his home. David was born April 30, 1928 in Muskegon to Louis and Amy (Dorrington) Grimard. On October 4, 1947, Dave married the former Evelyn Howerton in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2005. Dave had worked at S.D. Warren for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1986. He and Evelyn enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida. Dave loved woodworking and playing the guitar, violin, Mandolin, and organ. He attended Unity United Methodist Church and always enjoyed the time spent with his family. Dave is survived by his children, David A. “Tony” (Marsha) Grimard of Muskegon, Alan (Anita) Grimard of Stapleton, AL, Norma (Harry) Winters of Cannelton, IN, Mike (Carrie) Grimard of Odon, IN and Lynette Grimard of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Evelyn, Dave was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Desiree Winters; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, 231-726-5210 with Pastor Ron Worley officiating. VISITATION will be Tuesday from 10AM until Noon. Interment will be in Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Unity United Methodist Church.
