David G. Ingersoll Jr.'s Obituary
David G. Ingersoll, Jr., age 52, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 24, 1966 to David Sr. and Geneva (Bryan) Ingersoll in Muskegon. David worked for 28 years as an engineering tech for Herman Miller until his retirement in 2018. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, camping and enjoying everything in nature. He was a true fan of the Michigan sports teams; you could always find him cheering on the Red Wings, Tigers, Lions and the University of Michigan. David, like his father before him, was a competitive arm wrestler his whole life and his son and cousin have followed suit. He was a friend to so many and loved making new relationships. He will be missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Amber Ingersoll; children, Zacheriah Ingersoll, Mackenzie Ingersoll; step-children, Hailey Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Kristi Downs and her children, Elijah, Elliot and Brooklyn; granddaughter, Averie Barnes; mother, Geneva Ingersoll; siblings, Glenn Ingersoll, Buffy (Mario) Garza; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, including his close cousins, Regina Duke and Daryl Ingersoll, who were like siblings to him. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Fern and Glenn Ingersoll, Blanche and William Miller; and many aunts and uncles. A VISITATION with David’s family will take place on Monday, February 11, 2019 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. A FUNERAL SERVICE for David will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at The Journey Church (6502 Schamber Dr.) at 11:00 AM with visitation taking place one hour prior to the services at church. David will be laid to rest at Ingersoll Cemetery at a later date. For a more lasting memory donations in David’s name can be made to his children.
