We were fortunate to have met Dave through his wife, Denise, and our friend, Nancy. He worked for Bishop Heating and Cooling at the time and we trusted him to provide our annual service. He was so good at what he did that we had to wait weeks before he could be scheduled. We will miss him. -- Irmgard and Don Johnson
Dave had an unfortunate encounter with a deer on Maple Ridge Road one fine fall evening. Dave and I were looking over his car, which he'd been working on for almost a year, and I asked him, "Hey Kip, what do you plan to do with it? You put a ton of time into that car."
He pulled out the keys, bounced them on his palm and thought for a second.
Then he looked at me and said, "There wasn't much else I could do to make it faster. I guess I'll pull the parts I can reuse, get a different car, and start over."
He paused a few more seconds and added with a grin, "It sure was fun while it lasted."
I am so sorry to hear of this news. I know there are no words to console the grieving that you are going through right now, just know you are all in my heart and prayers right now. When I think of my first memories of Dave, I think of me as a little girl on the ditch side of our house. I was out there, and here comes Dave, Mark and Dale on their bicycles. I was new in town and I suppose they were coming by to check out the new family. :) They were teasing me and I had learned a new inappropriate word to call them. Ha ha ha, so Dave told me he was going to tell on me. Being only 4 years old I went and told on myself. Thanks Boys. Dave was the first person I knew with a Hot Rod Car. (He was so cool) I remember his love of hunting and his lack of talking on the party line phone. LOL. I remember one of the saddest days for me was the day he went off to serve his country. I looked up to Dave and thought he was really cool. Thanks for always being nice to me Dave. Thanks for being my neighbor, I will always try to remember the good memories I have of you. May you rest in peace now. Judy, Glen, Barb, Mark, Dale, Denise and families, I am so very sorry for your loss, and hope the memories people share will help heal your pain. Love always, Dory Faltinowski Tressler
I worked with Dave at Skipper Heating and A/C. He was a very nice guy. My thoughts and prayers are with Denise and his family at this difficult time.
