Mr. David Lee Kirschner's Obituary
Mr. David Lee Kirschner, age 72, passed away early Thursday morning, March 7, 2013, at home. He was born November 29, 1940 in Hart, MI to Robert and Marie L. (VanderZanden) Kirschner. On November 24, 1962 David married the former Janice H. Ulmer in Muskegon, and she survives him. He was employed at Meijer for 46 years, retiring in 2006. David enjoyed classic cars and car shows; drag raced for over 40 years, and loved his 1957 Red Corvette. Along with his wife of 50 years, Janice, David is survived by his children, Jeff (Barb) Kirschner and Jill (Dan) Borgman all of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Mike (Brooke), Kyle, Samantha, and Hanna; 2 great grandchildren, Steven and Melissa Kirschner; a brother, Robert Kirschner of Muskegon; 2 sisters, MaryAnn Scanlon of Muskegon and Barbara (Scott) Gabrielson of Detroit; a sister-in-law, Christine Kirschner of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 11, 2013 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 With Rev. Father Antony Britto officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM). Interment will be in Egelston Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to The Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan.
