Mr. David Alcala Lopez's Obituary
David Alcala Lopez, age 85, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Dave was born on October 27, 1932 in Seguin, Texas to Jesus and Luz Lopez. On February 7, 1967 he married the love of his life, the former Dionisia Rufo and together they were blessed with 3 children. He had a love for collecting guns and knives. He also enjoyed reading, music, and playing the clarinet. In the 50’s, Dave was an editor of a publication on UFO’s. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Dionisia “June”; children, Junie (Patrick) Parrish, David (Tammy) Lopez, Davis Lopez (Suzy Wassouf); 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Sarah Shaw, Jesse Lopez and Samuel Lopez. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 16 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave., 231-726-5210. Visitation will be Friday from 3-6 PM. Entombment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
